Can anyone tell me what hole to use?

I have an 83 SC that is slowly going back together and I don't remember which Engine tin hole that I should be using to run the left heater hose in?

It is possible that I should have used a solid plate on the left side as well.

Is it possible to get a picture of someones 83/83 SC showing the hose/engine tin

Thanks Lorne M.

I think the short plate with the hole goes on the right side, and the short solid plate on the left.

Try that.

This is how mine is (an 83). The heater hose connects to the sleeved hole and the small plate is blank (solid) for the left side. The right side has the small plate with the hole that the hose goes right through to the heat exchanger.

Swap the small plate and it should make sense.

For the models that have the heater bypass installed, the heater hose goes through the hole closest to the chain covers. (the hole on the left in the top picture). For your application, its as stated above. Solid on the left.

Thanks Guys, I purchased a solid plate off of the site to replace the left side extra hole.

I have looked thru Bently, the factory manuals even Waynes book but no where is any pics of that particular area.

Thanks again Lorne M.
