I started with the mods today sealed up the headlight bucket s to keep out dust and started routing the wire harness to hook up both lights. I have the driving lights mounted so I can set them tonight and then I can reassemble the lights and do final assembly. The hole is covered with a rubber membrane I will get a pic of that tomorrow.

How much do you stick through the back of the headlight bucket? I'm wondering if the mini Morimotos wouldn't require the bucket mod.

It doesn't stick through very much I don't think it is even the thickness of the metal of the bucket I put a rubber membrane back there to seal things up and give room for the projector.

Got the driving lights hooked up and checked to see the pattern looked good as set so that is a lock all that is left is to reassemble and adjust the projectors.

So what's up with the driving lights beam hitting the bumper, does this hurt the spread? I don't understand the reasoning behind installing the driving lights in the bukets, is this so you can get rid of the ones in the air dam? Am I the only one that thinks that having the just the projectors in the bucket looks the best? This is a cool project and it's just my opinion.

Thats just the way I wanted it you can do it how you would like when you do your own setup the driving lights will add some additional light up close when on high beam and no the pattern is not affected by the light on the bumper. Thanks for the input.

tobluforu- I do like what Gsmith660 is doing with his lights. Personally, if I were to attempt this project which I may in time I would use a round driving light to mimic the new 911 sport classic light style. I would set the driving light slightly in board of the headlight rather than in line. To each there own.

Keep up the good work GSmith660 very inspirational.

One light installed and the trim ring on the other bucket needs to have the membrane dry a bit longer then the 2nd light goes on I am going to set the lights by parking our caravan side by side and set my cutoff in the same place as the van. Will post pics when I get that done.

I thought about that but taking measurements I didn't think I could make that fit but now that it is done I see it would have fit just would have taken a different shroud to use with the projector.

I think they look great on the car. Looking forward to see the pattern they produce. How do you have the driving lights wired in? Do they go on w/ high beams or are they on a separate switch?

Thanks, I understand nothing to be jealous about this was a very simple project that anyone can do.

I have the driving lights wired directly to the high beams so they are controlled by the dimmer switch, I can add a switch later if needed, I already had the H-1's wired with separate relays so the current didn't go through the dimmer I had 100 watt H-1 bulb and these have tons more light than those did at a third the power the driving lights are 55 watt halogen so they only add light up close and even though they are blue ion they have a yellow cast when the HID's and the halogens are both on.
