is this broken part of my case important?

see pics. it's where the insert tube runs down from the internal engine t-stat. there was a small bit that was bent back and broke off in my fingers. doesn't seem to be structural, more of a thin part of the casting. what shall I do?

ignore?
JB Weld it?
junk the case?

any input much appreciated. Don.

It's normal, just ignore. It's a tube behind, no breakthrough

It's ok, they cast the case half and just punch it out at the factory.

Yep, there have been a few threads about that. If I was seeing it for the first time, I too would be scared. It is just a core print or something similar.
