bent front t-bar adjusting bolt, no front sway bar
I am not completely new to the forum as I have been reading for months but I have not posted much due to my lack of knowledge. For reference sake, my beautiful wife gave me an 83 SC for Father's day last year. It has been lowered and converted to carbs although I am still trying to figure out what suspension mods have been done. It does not have a front sway bar - would there be a good reason for this at all? The rear has new Weltmeister bushings and measures to 21mm so I believe it has been upgraded. In addition, my front drivers t-bar adjusting bolt is bent, I would like to pull the t-bars to see if they have been upgraded but I don't know how to remove a crooked bolt - any thoughts and ideas are appreciated.

Cut the bolt with a Dremel tool. Carbide cutting wheel.

That bolt doesn't look like it's bent all that badly. I think I'd just try to back the thing on out. I'd be really surprised if you ran into too much trouble at all in doing that. One of the bolts on my '69 was bent worse than that and it worked just fine. But who knows what gremlins lurk? Your results may vary.

looks like it will back out straight, only the head is messed up.
running with a rear 21mm and no front is asking for trouble. Bill K

Is there a reason one would have taken off the front swaybar? Secondly, is there a way to tell if the t-bars have been upgraded without removing them?
