engine noise has me stumped - any thoughts?

(**ALL BETTER NOW***) a squeeky noise, sounds rotational, changes with engine speed. clutch engagement doesn't change it, nor does removing alt belt. only things I did to the engine lately were a tensioner update and a valve adjust. the engine pulley isn't contacting anywhere. poured some oil into the dizzy. no change. there's a limited number of rotating things on the outside of a 911 engine. could be a chain noise of some sort but I can't imagine what. my next thing will be removing the engine pulley and tins. no mfi drive on the cam.

have a listen......................

Have you checked your fan belt? When I over tightened mine, it squeeled like a pig.

One shim in no more Squeel.

Oops nevermind you pulled the belt :?:

Sorry to be so annoying, one more brain fart:

Did put a stethoscope near the upgraded tensioners?

thanks for the thoughs. Draco, you got me on the right track. looked underneath but didn't sound like an exhaust leak, I've had plenty of those. so I looked at the other end. a little spraying of quick start at the intake manifold gaskets told the tail. I've never had an intake leak before, sure sounds like a belt or sheetmetal squeek. anyway, it appears some genius didn't tighten the manifold to head nuts very well. or let's say the gaskets squished a bit and allowed a leak, yeah.that's right . anyway, tightened nuts and all's well. took longer to load the videos than the fix took. thanks much, Don.

Considering the last thing you did before it started was the tensioner upgrade and valve adjustment so I would look there.

Pull the valve covers and take look inside. Make sure you didn't leave something inside. Also pull the chain box covers and inspect there as well.
