Porsche Crest Late Introduction

Just wanted to say an overdue hi to everybody! I've been a porsche owner since I was 9. I found pelican parts a little while ago and was excited to join the forums. There is so much great information here. Being the owner of a '78 924 as well as a '75 911, this forum is very helpful. I've already made a few posts, but I forgot to introduce myself. I look forward to communicating with all of you!

Dustin

Welcome aboard.

How do you own a car at age 9? Was it a real car or a model?

Your parents must be real car lovers.

GH85Carrera,
My dad got me my 924 for $200 from a friend of his to keep me out of trouble We spent a few years getting it going together. It's the car I learned how to drive a stick in, and do various body and engine work on. My dad's pretty cool

Wow that certainly set the bar a whole bunch higher for us dads. Maybe I need to look around for a Porsche for my youngest son. Actually, think a 924 would be a great idea. Super cars, welcome!

Cool dad.

I talked my dad into going to the Porsche dealer once when I was a kid. He drove a 911 and I begged him to buy it. He bought a Oldsmobile Delta 88 4 door.

Cars were and still are just transportation to him.
