I Have A Clock Issue

If I don't drive the car for more than a day, the clock stops.

Then I'll re-set it, drive the car and the clock will run just fine...until it stops after I park the car and leave it for awhile.

What's happening here?

Thanks

Test the power lead. Likely it loses 12v when the ignition switch is off. Do you have a radio with presets?

Clock

I got tired of it not keeping time I replaced it with a volt meter so I could keep track of the charging system.

It saved e from having a voltage regulator break down while on a trip. I was able to see that the engine was over charging, 17.5 volts. I put the head lights on along with the rear window defogger and was able to bring it down to 14 volts.

IMO the gage is worth more that a clock.

Remove clock. Replace with vacuum operated boost guage. Smile.
