Grand projet. Votre imagination et la capacité de fabriquer ces impossibles à trouver ou payer les pièces est vraiment amusant à regarder et à lire. Bonne chance

As everyone knows, in late December that the dismissal fell on me, I was very upset and I reacted on instinct and sold my Froggy. I received lots of support, but my dear and loving was so furious because it was silly to sell it after work is over and the passion I put there. My reason was "safe", fear of the result .....
Today, my research and many remain unfulfilled for many observers will arrive in better recovery in September, but I continue to apply everywhere. Meanwhile I will begin a student session to learn about logistics and have a diploma. this training will begin in September ... but until then do that. After long discussions the result fell .... I bought Froggy and I finished it. And here I must pay tribute to a gentleman, I have appointed, my friend, Jean Francois (JF). Indeed JF when purchased had indeed insisted that as he had not touched Froggy, I could buy it back at any time and after our email exchange he kept his word, he is here thanked. JF amount currently his garage "RSC Automobile," with his friends Christophe and Fabrice, I can state with a guy like him in control, satisfaction and respect for the client will be waiting for you. thank you JF a small thank you to my little wife, again led to my happiness and I can say , because she still had on this one ..... so now gas for the rest of the adventure ..................... That the beast was back to his lair ...... I'm happy and you can see it .................... http://i42.servimg.com/u/f42/11/02/37/69/img_7012.jpg Before making our way back ..... http://i42.servimg.com/u/f42/11/02/37/69/img_7013.jpg And here granny is back after these various incidents. It's time to get back to work. I finished the lap with a nod to those of an era that just cost a glance ... http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/5559/dsc1067x.jpg installed it is very clean http://img835.imageshack.us/img835/6932/dsc1075s.jpg I mostly keep sanding the wings to get a smooth curve right wing sanded, and masticated. http://img850.imageshack.us/img850/8034/dsc1069n.jpg left wing just sanded for now http://img404.imageshack.us/img404/803/dsc1070z.jpg I worked on my wheel and got the result that I desired then masking tape http://i40.servimg.com/u/f40/17/40/16/91/jante110.jpg three layers of primer http://i40.servimg.com/u/f40/17/40/16/91/jante210.jpg and there I finish that I like, slightly "frozen" as you said in States http://i40.servimg.com/u/f40/17/40/16/91/jante310.jpg http://i40.servimg.com/u/f40/17/40/16/91/jante410.jpg |
In the light of day this is what I wanted.
http://i40.servimg.com/u/f40/17/40/16/91/jante510.jpg hiding the edge that will stay home http://i40.servimg.com/u/f40/17/40/16/91/dsc_1110.jpg Masking the tire http://i40.servimg.com/u/f40/17/40/16/91/dsc_1111.jpg masking the center http://i40.servimg.com/u/f40/17/40/16/91/dsc_1112.jpg first layer http://i40.servimg.com/u/f40/17/40/16/91/dsc_1120.jpg last layer (three in all) http://i40.servimg.com/u/f40/17/40/16/91/dsc_1113.jpg final result outdoors http://i40.servimg.com/u/f40/17/40/16/91/dsc_1115.jpg and within http://i40.servimg.com/u/f40/17/40/16/91/dsc_1116.jpg having a short time I worked on my hood level adjustment cutting edge of "too" with a saw, for info I put the pieces that were cut the white line on the bottom of the cover and my "equalization line," I'm going by sanding equalize all on this benchmark http://i40.servimg.com/u/f40/17/40/16/91/dsc_1117.jpg |
adjustment becomes good
http://i40.servimg.com/u/f40/17/40/16/91/dsc_1118.jpg http://i40.servimg.com/u/f40/17/40/16/91/dsc_1119.jpg I found a good matt varnish nice brand "Julien". so, I finished the first pair. Masking of the tire for passage of the three layer of varnish. http://i40.servimg.com/u/f40/17/40/16/91/dsc_1124.jpg third layer, therefore no effect dry "wet" glossy http://i40.servimg.com/u/f40/17/40/16/91/dsc_1125.jpg Demoulding the effect is on top keeps the dull side of gray. http://i40.servimg.com/u/f40/17/40/16/91/dsc_1126.jpg You must only polishing the edge to offset the white coating on the upper lip, otherwise it's great. http://i40.servimg.com/u/f40/17/40/16/91/dsc_1127.jpg more than two to do http://i40.servimg.com/u/f40/17/40/16/91/dsc_1123.jpg Well it's time to think about the next big step in the painting. So dismantling everything that can be. i start with the door panels to access handles, mirrors .... http://i40.servimg.com/u/f40/17/40/16/91/dsc_1128.jpg a door nude http://i40.servimg.com/u/f40/17/40/16/91/dsc_1129.jpg |
and there the stupid idea , as we all at some point
the idea that the brain is put on and off more then anything holding us back, the famous " i don't know fear" and then we trace it starts ........ without drill press his hand drill and a portable workbench vise and come what may. Tracking and pointing http://i40.servimg.com/u/f40/17/40/16/91/dsc_1137.jpg drilling three times http://i40.servimg.com/u/f40/17/40/16/91/dsc_1138.jpg Casing with the drill http://i40.servimg.com/u/f40/17/40/16/91/dsc_1147.jpg remains only to polish well http://i40.servimg.com/u/f40/17/40/16/91/dsc_1148.jpg Then I worked on my template for the central filling a piece of exhaust pipe of diameter 100 does the trick http://i40.servimg.com/u/f40/17/40/16/91/dsc_1141.jpg bias cut following the cover http://i40.servimg.com/u/f40/17/40/16/91/dsc_1142.jpg http://i40.servimg.com/u/f40/17/40/16/91/dsc_1144.jpg and adaptation of the filling and the chute. http://i40.servimg.com/u/f40/17/40/16/91/dsc_1145.jpg http://i40.servimg.com/u/f40/17/40/16/91/dsc_1146.jpg So the template used to make steel tube that will go on the tank ...... Next Stage, emptying, cleaning and stripping tank to weld ................... |

|
What a nice wife and friends you have. Glad you got your car back.
|
Great news!
Very nice RSR finish on the Fuchs! |
...you are 1 lucky man to get your car back & the other gentleman living up to his word to sell back to you when ever you wished...
I had a similar deal with a guy whom I "thought" was my friend...I bought a car he had needing restoration & the deal "WE" had was that "HE WOULD BUY THE CAR BACK AT ANY TIME FROM ME IF I WANTED OUT OR WAS NOT GOING TO FINISH THE CAR"...well, the knife is still stuck in my back as the expression goes = HE ONLY PAID ME 50 CENTS ON THE DOLLAR I SPENT ON THE CAR...That is NOT how friends treat friends + I HAD TO WAIT 1 YR TO GET PAID BACK......he for ever will be a P.O.S. in my mind... I am very happy for you that this all worked out for you...!! CONGRATS...!! |
Great news...very happy for you
|
