tof2.7 09-04-2011 11:54 PM

Well after Saturday brightened up on the traditional "Braderie" of Lille, or I found that for 1.50 €uro for one, reproductions but in sheet steel and for the decoration of the garage it is always nice...

http://img560.imageshack.us/img560/1667/plaquec.jpg

Thus on Sunday we attack again,

While my "Helpboy" takes care of the cleaning of the racing cars of his collection (already in his age that promises !!)

http://img199.imageshack.us/img199/7157/arpet.jpg

I begin the adjustment of the right fender.

Thus fixed time that presents much better,

The line of wing is first-class...

http://img683.imageshack.us/img683/6549/ajust2.jpg

The top is clean (with the joint rubber)

http://img143.imageshack.us/img143/4996/ajust1.jpg

And after one hour and a half, quite slowly in the grater, the indicator returns very well in his place, and the fixations are made, stays a little job on the bar the top goes, but the bottom is returning at left.

http://img15.imageshack.us/img15/4426/ajust3.jpg

Concerning the hood I found the problem, it's too high once gone up because three embossment in front come to stumble over the crossbar of type G, it's going to need to plane them.......

http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/7919/pbcapot.jpg

tof2.7 09-19-2011 12:36 AM

Then yesterday I continued the work

Side adjustment : impossible to align the bottom of the hood with wings the top went but not the bottom.

In fact by firing the metal sheet in form like a " U" welded on the top of the crossbar of G type we win the 0.8 centimeters necessities to make nice fall to the hood.

http://img710.imageshack.us/img710/4996/ajust1.jpg

And i can see that down that deserves one voucher treatment, it is only some rust of surface.

http://img197.imageshack.us/img197/6549/ajust2.jpg

And of the blow the hood falls much better

http://img838.imageshack.us/img838/4426/ajust3.jpg

but it was a day bad adventure in one side , it is this been able to the bi*** of cover with oil which runs away.

I started Froggy's just to warm up to her pistons and I let it run ten minutes, then I took care of the hood and half an hour later I cross behind and the horror a big oily mark on the pavement!!

Having absorbed the max with some sand

http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/8040/fuite2r.jpg

And that to piss another net during 1 good hour

http://img594.imageshack.us/img594/6522/fuite1.jpg

It seems to come in the bottom, side wheel, to the junction with the sheet(leaf) of wire netting which is above welded.

Thus following stage drains away and dismantling of the cover

I am going to drain away only the cover and I shall drain away the rest in the reassembly of the cover with oil and filter new.

Well otherwise the sound in slow motion:

And with a little juices:

tof2.7 09-23-2011 04:35 AM

for imagine the final result

http://img98.imageshack.us/img98/3911/renduarr1.jpg

i don't know who is the owner of the car on the original pict (before photoshoping) but i love it and if you have information about i take it :)

prebordao 09-23-2011 08:12 AM

Flieger 09-23-2011 09:33 AM

So, does this mean you are planning a Cup Car motor for the future? ;)

tof2.7 09-25-2011 11:51 PM

Flieger, i want to work on my mmotor and just win some HP (200/220) because in France you must have you original motor so if you cahnge it and if you have an accident you lose your insurance. And because uin don't want to make race with just road trip.

Well then this cover:

Dismantling and cleaning of peripherals

http://img52.imageshack.us/img52/7161/dsc0783c.jpg

Of the cover

http://img717.imageshack.us/img717/3535/dsc0785t.jpg

And under the big coat of mud and oil mixed

http://img689.imageshack.us/img689/7794/dsc0787qi.jpg

Holes .......................

On the other hand always impossible to transfer the piece of remaining radiator hose and the stiff radiator hose behind is not thus held it is warm to undo!!

http://img708.imageshack.us/img708/2562/dsc0788x.jpg

Otherwise I attacked my cheek of wing, the protection leaves to the spatula

http://img703.imageshack.us/img703/9415/dsc0794pq.jpg

It is long but we arrive there the not galvanized sheet steel (model 74) is very clean...

http://img694.imageshack.us/img694/9182/dsc0797o.jpg

Of the front side some rust but surface thus nothing grave.

http://img855.imageshack.us/img855/3773/dsc0790g.jpg

The next stage stop removing the proctection, the ground layer and new blackson.

tof2.7 10-02-2011 11:33 PM

As every evening of the week scratching of the inside of back fender, it is long.....

During this time I take advantage for ultrasonic all which can be it in the great grease remover.

As the capacity of the cover which went out black and thickens!!!

http://img850.imageshack.us/img850/8893/bache5.jpg

It is going to stay with quite corks etc....

http://img594.imageshack.us/img594/3236/bache6.jpg

First of all passage at JF for the repair of the cover

Information " monster garage ":

The cover is good in sheet steel, my error comes because mine in summer completely covered with a brass coat, while generally only the endings are covered with it

The hole

http://img594.imageshack.us/img594/7875/bacherep1.jpg

Rule of the welder: to eliminate a small hole ...... make a big

http://img851.imageshack.us/img851/7443/bacherep2.jpg

Put a magnet to hold the piece the level

http://img849.imageshack.us/img849/3634/bacherep3.jpg

the welding

http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/6356/bacherep4.jpg

Test of waterproofness of the weld in the liquid of cleaning of brake very flowing in .......... so OK

Grinding

http://img844.imageshack.us/img844/2672/bacherep5.jpg

And weld of an end of wire netting as originally

http://img528.imageshack.us/img528/1289/bacherep6.jpg

This wire netting allows to prevent stones thrown by the wheel to come to strike directly the cover.

After that the JF part is thus ended ...... a little beer.

Back home I attacked by:

Scratching, cleaning and degreasing the beast.

http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/758/bacherep7.jpg

Two good coats to outdo rust inhibitor

http://img257.imageshack.us/img257/4598/bacherep8.jpg

tof2.7 10-02-2011 11:38 PM

Three rust-proofing coat of paint "Hammerite"

http://img831.imageshack.us/img831/485/bacherep9.jpg

And finish in the "belgom alu" and the fine paper of peripherals ......

http://img198.imageshack.us/img198/6516/bacherep10.jpg

Otherwise between coats of paint I stopped preparing my back fender and especially I am got through my contrary nut of radiator hose.

Even by warming impossible to undo it ...... and the car being on candles I could not use of arm of control lever thus too much mattering desperate diseases require desperate remedies ......

http://img717.imageshack.us/img717/6859/bacherep11.jpg

That ............... it is made.

tof2.7 10-03-2011 10:52 PM

I took too much delay, I have to move thus I am going to try to make a little work everything in evenings.

Yesterday as a result, at the end of the cover.

http://img269.imageshack.us/img269/6477/bacherep12.jpg

And put in primer of the inside of back fender.

http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/4421/jouearrd1.jpg

http://img513.imageshack.us/img513/3111/jouearrd3.jpg

http://img442.imageshack.us/img442/785/jouearrd2.jpg

tof2.7 10-04-2011 10:49 PM

Yesterday evening passage of seal body with rubber and resin, spent in the brush on the joint between the wing and the welded extension.

I took advantage of it to put back it to places or there was before I clean everything, all the junctions between sheet steels and each point of weld

The product:

http://oilmart.ru/published/publicda...pezial_enl.jpg

Applied it gives that:

http://hybris.cms.henkel.com/medias/...8363501424.jpg

I would take a photo this evening in full light because yesterday evening I finished at 9 pm and more enough luminosity for a photo.

The next stage anti-bits of gravel on base rubber ...........

tof2.7 10-06-2011 01:12 AM

Well so a small photo of the joint composed teroson.

http://img705.imageshack.us/img705/2817/jouearrd4.jpg

And then passage of the anti bit of gravel (not asphalt but complex one base of synthetic resin and rubber), it is a delight to be crossed but as very black sheen difficult to photograph in the garage the evening .......

http://img809.imageshack.us/img809/2140/jouearrd6.jpg

More than two coats of " hammerite " black matt as front and this side will be made.

tof2.7 10-10-2011 01:03 AM

The suite

After the second coat of "Hammerite", I went back up the Oil Cover.

http://img33.imageshack.us/img33/1727/bacherep13.jpg

Then draining of the crankcase and dismantling of the access to the caul of the pump.

http://img684.imageshack.us/img684/6091/bacherep14.jpg

After cleaning and with the new joints (for the anecdote the car arrived from states in 2008 with these two joints in his gloves box)

http://img197.imageshack.us/img197/6548/bacherep17.jpg

On the other hand concerns on the side crankcase one of the thread stalks was equipped with a "hélicoil" but which exceeded by the crankcase and thus which during the loosening it is removed.

The side crankcase (you will notice that an end of the pipe of the pump and the snatch)

http://img254.imageshack.us/img254/9277/bacherep16.jpg

The stalk and his "hélicoil"

http://img836.imageshack.us/img836/2861/bacherep15.jpg

Well as the tapping and already made it is just necessary to me to put a new "hélicoil".

Thus while waiting for I was made a little body.

Corking of both holes of the badge on the hood.

http://img593.imageshack.us/img593/8918/enduit1.jpg

I ventured on the fiber, the first one for me ........ and not really a success. On the other hand I understood full of thing, thus it is going to need well to sand all this to restart a healthy base for following both passes.

http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/5827/fibre1.jpg

And at the beginning of the sanding of the second-hand parts to redo everything for new.

The ducktail which had an inside raw concrete and slopped in black.

http://img713.imageshack.us/img713/285/poncage1.jpg

Well we keep the rythm and the morale ...........

tof2.7 10-12-2011 01:11 AM

Then the news of this crankcase magnesium of S....

The system of type "intervis" "home-made", one saw M8 drilled in its center and re-drilled in M6. (Has left on the photo.)

http://img190.imageshack.us/img190/5410/fuite4.jpg

Above all a blow of tap in the hole.

http://img14.imageshack.us/img14/1560/fuite3.jpg

And we go back up the whole with dough joined.....

And there big hatred, by squeezing slowly I have two other gudgeons which turn "around", thus Dismantling some dough closed everywhere on fingers and we have to redo two news "intervis" ......

tof2.7 10-13-2011 12:55 AM

I made my 4 new intervis DIY

http://img15.imageshack.us/img15/5387/intervis.jpg

Made assembly and put in oil, more three jar down ...... in the case or.......

Before sleeping me towards midnight, nothing no drop and this morning the same

Next satge during the ignition and during the the mount in temp according to the open of the circuit of oil
