930 911 Control Arm Interchangeability
Is ther any differnce between an '87 930 front control arm and an SC or Carrera arm?

They don't have the same part number. 930 starts with 930 and SC, Carrera start with 911. So there has to be some kind of difference to warrant having different part numbers.

The 930 control arm has a spacer welded on for anti dive characteristics. Search my user name in the turbo section for info.

I think the arms themselves are the same, but the mounts are definately different.

If you want to make a 911 arm into a turbo arm you just put a nice hardened spacer in there. If you buy the Elephant self centering kit they come with extra spacers to do just this.
