Electric problem: need help.
Car: 1986 Targa
Symptoms: 1. right side front & rear (passenger side) taillight/parking (the yellow light on the bumper) lights don't work 2. right side front (passenger side) turn signal doesn't work 3. when I use the right side (passenger side) turn signal, the "clicking" is twice as fast as when I use the left side blinker Fuses are fine, light bulbs are fine, brake lights work and the reverse light works as well. Any clues? Marlon

Spin the fuses in the holder as they build up insulation between metals.

Did that, too. No avail.

Check the wattage of the bulbs vs the spec. Low wattage bulbs won't work.

Did these 3 observations (actualy only 2 as 2 & 3 are the same problem) happened at the same time? The worse thing would be to chase 2 problems; 1 & 2/3, at the same time. 2 & 3 are related and its probably "right side front (passenger side) turn signal" light bulb burned. Put a new one in no matter what it look like. If you don't have a new one, swap the two front one around and see if the symptoms stay to the right or switch to the left side. When it comes to electrical, one could chase its tale by doing to many steps at the same time. Do not rely on your memory, write down what you do and what the result are and post the results.

So, I measured the voltage at the fuse #19 for the passenger side parking lights and I get nothing... zero volts. (Fuse #18 for the drivers side gives me 12 volts.). What does THAT mean?
Also: problems #2 & #3 are solved. Cleaned the fitting and the indicator light is now working.

You must have a supply problem to the fuse. Maybe the wiring in the back is damaged?

In the back of the dashboard or in the back of the car?

I'm not sure how fuse #19 is fed, but it might be on the back of the fuse panel that something is wrong.
