Tool kit

Does Pelican sell an aftermarket took kit for mid 80's 911 cars? I just bought a pouch and have a few tools like the spanner, belt. But would like more of the correct tools. Thank you, Nick

I don't think Pelican can do you a complete tool kit....take a look at ebay. If you plan to keep your car indefinitely, a factory tool kit might enhance the value of your P-car in the event you decide to sell at a later date. Don't wait another 20 years to start completing the tool kit, when you can get what you need today at a relative bargain. Look at the prices of original 356 tool kits and you'll see what I mean. Good luck!!

Will a tool kit from years 84-89 work on my car? Are they all pretty much the same? Nick

I think the issue here is whether you want proper and correct, for things like concours and show quality, or you are going for functionality. The going price for "proper and correct" toolkits are $300-$400 for 80s Carrera. I personally am missing the toolkit at the moment, but I've decided its not currently a priority since I have no intention of entering any car shows... Just some thoughts, everyone has different priorities (and bank account balances)

OK, that is just strange. Anyway, I agree, I want the correct parts and tools for my car. I paid a bunch for this car that I always wanted and I want it as stock as can be. That is just me. If folks want to lower their cars or stick jet packs on them that is just fine. Anyway, I will just continue my search till I find the right tool kit. Nick

Ah yes the old tool kit discussion. Mark my words, there will be a day soon when enthusiasts will pay over a thousand bucks for an original car matching early 911 kit Ala 356 kits.

Should be a fairly easy search, check ebay, DC Automotive, Oklahoma Foreign, etc. I believe I was quoted $350 a few months ago from Oklahoma Foreign.

Porsche Crest 1982 911SC Tool Kit value??

I own an 82 911SC.
My tool kit is pristine (never used) with all tools (14), original fan belt and leather??tool case holder.
I would like to sell it and have no idea as to value.
I am told $200 to $2000.
Can anyone please help me with a valuation?
I have several pictures that are available.

When you go shopping, the kit should look like this:

Info only, ours is not for sale.

Good luck,

Gerry
