BASIC 3.6 to old 911 parts list needed.
I have researched many conversion posts and learned quite a bit about whats in store. I'll be installing 95 3.6 into 86 911 tub. I naturally don't want to buy any extras I don't need and thus wonder is anyone can provide BASIC conversion/swap needed parts list. I can easily fabricate dual coil bracket, but know I will need harness adapter. I have solid WEVO mounts so won't need new ones. I can fabricate exhaust components and sheet metal surround. I believe I will need to purchase oil line though. I will need A/C since I am in Tucson so probably need new dual pulley. Anyhow, does anyone have the first hand experience to advise BASIC swap parts list? I plan to buy from Patrick.
Thanks

Having just done a 3.6L swap myself, if you plan to use Patrick, my advice would be to just call them and use them as your resource. If you can get their attention (I had a difficult time doing this even though I bought a bunch of parts from them) they will have most, if not all of your answers. If you call them up or stop by, tell them you have a motor but need all the conversion pieces and want to buy from them, they 'should' provide you with all the support you need. The few times my calls and emails were returned, I found them very knowledgable - it's just a matter of getting their attention as they are seemingly very busy and I'm sure tired of fielding calls from 'information gatherers' who are not spending $$ with them. Hard to blame them for that!

Trans mating
Tom: Most important question at this juncture: Does the 915 transaxle/bellhousing mount to the 993 pattern and can one use the 993 clutch/flywheel assembly?

yes, the 915 bolts to the 993 block, you need a conversion flywheel that bolts to the 993 crank and has the 225mm clutch dimension, you will use a 915 clutch and pp, and all new hardware including the bolts to connect the trans to the block

3.6 Engine - What should I do to it before plugging it in knee deep in this right now - although I've probably done more than most once I got the engine... Quote:
