Gained a few MPG in the SC with a simple fix!
Car is an '80 SC, RoW version.
Followed the very helpful instructions in the link below to service my distributor. Found my vac advance frozen and total timing under spec. Went from the usual 17-18 MPG to as much as 23 MPG. Could have done this long ago and might have had some extra $$ for Porsche parts. Feeling a bit stupid! Make sure to have a new distributor o-ring handy. Distributor service (Clean and lube) real easy without removing the pinion gear!
