I added a splitter to my front spoiler and man you can tell the difference on the track. Really only at speeds above 100 mph so I doubt I would noice anything on the street.

Yesterday I took her out for the maiden voyage at speed. Doing 70-80 on the highway she was solid as a rock. A quick burst to 100 + same results. Went to the Mille event at Atlanta Motor Speedway and did some 80-100 mph bursts on the track solid as a rock. I'm happy with those results. I'll see how she looks when I change back to the 16" Fuchs I may lower her a little ( 1 inch ) in the front.

I wonder how this would look if you removed the rocker panels? They tend to visually lower the mass of the car between the wheels, so removing them will visually raise that area, and be more in line with the overhangs. Good luck with mods...

I've been enjoying your posts of the nice changes to your car.

Love the back bumper, the front is a interesting mix of the molded look of newer ( 993 on) and details of the long hood. I am coming to really like it. The fit to the car is very nice. Nice job Milt!

The rockers might look good just blacked out. Kind of depends on the color of the wheels.

Nice craftsmanship in the install.

Oh I like the color too.

Cheers Richard

Richard thanks for the comments. I have two sets of Fuchs in 16x7 + 16x8. One set is currently on my 914 GT clone and they have polished petals and lips with black outline on the petals. The 2nd set is sitting in the rafters waiting to be refurbished. This set I plan on doing the RSR style finish. This is the set I think I'll install on the 911. With the 914 being a 5 bolt conversion and with flared fenders it's nice that I can switch wheels/tires between the two cars. I also have a set of BBS gold centered wheels in the same size/offset. Your comment about blacking out the rocker covers in interesting I had not thought of that. I want to keep the covers as I have the oil lines on the passenger side and AC lines on the drivers side they look better when concealed. I'll have to think about it. I'm moving on to a Boston Whaler boat refurb so I'm going to drive the car as is for a while. I might swap the wheels off the 914 just to see how she looks . I really need to do the RSR finish on the wheels just not enough time in a day to do everything .

I'm real happy with the final results. This will probably be my final post on this conversion. I'd also like to thank everyone that chimed in with comments either pro or con......it's all good Now I can start the restoration of the Boston Whaler it just never ends

WOW! Saw your car at The Mille, looks great!!! Love the early/late mix. Good job!

x2 with removing the rockers. Otherwise, I really like the way this turned out. Good job!

Thanks. Nothing has changed since I completed the change everything is still good. No cracks anywhere and I'm happy with the results now that I've looked at everything for a while. Sorry no there will not be any copies.

Hi rfuerst911sc,

I just went through the hole thread and understood the there is no mold left in order to build another set of your bumpers.
Could you provide a link to Milt so that I could make contact ... he perhaps could start a new project.

Thanks in advance ... Regards Mikel

I can not believe this has not been recreated

Hello,

Love the look and I saw another thread the other day where someone was looking for a bolt on long hood kit and I recalled this post from 2011. I am still amazed that no one has mass produced this bumper set. Or at least 3D printed one. I Know I would like to have one myself.

I like the rear but the front has the lip too far forward. Also they should be a bit lower to match the sills.
