Throttle body? Rod from gas pedal linkage on one end and return spring on the other. Just a guess.HTH Jim

Looks like the lever on the throttle cable pivot plate on the rear or the engine.

It looks like part of the mechanical brake lever linkage from a 3.2 Carrera

How or where did you get the carbon fiber door panels?

HJT - hard to tell without some sense of scale for its size.

I don't recognize it. It looks like it has an oilable bushing (as Bosch uses in some of its motors) where it pivots.

Not part of the throttle linkage.

I don't remember the hand brake needing a bell crank anywhere to reverse a motion (and multiply it) - so I checked in my parts manual (1977, but this is a 911 so the little stuff seldom changes) - no, not part of the E brake.

In the door? Nope. some bell cranks, but not that shape. At least not for manual lock doors.

Fresh air system? Nope, and most of those have the pivot turn a valve anyway so they don't just come off.

Automatic heating controls? Don't think so.

Windshield wiper mechanism? Didn't look like anything in the diagram.

How about it is a part from your long lost MB-B?

How about the throttle rod linkage pivot that slides on a shaft coming off the transmission?

Hi Kevin,
door cards are self-made ( cut and drilled) from 2,5mm carbon plates.

Nope

That has a long pivot shaft, and the connections are both on the same side of the pivot because it does not reverse the direction of the pull. It just redirects it from sort of horizontal to an up angle. Might have a small change in mechanical advantage or disadvantage.

Verry nice lookin car / project. That part is from the Cargo door on the Space shuttle, very rare, more rare that your run-of-the-mill Porsche RSR parts.

I agree with Lindquist:
throttle rod linkage pivot that slides on a shaft coming off the transmission

Thanks, Brorag, but I think I'm wrong and agree with the guy who disagreed with me. The part I'm thinking of does have a long receiver shaft that keeps it off the tranny (at least on the 915). The part shown is pretty flush.

It definitely seems to be a pivot shaft though. Push on one end... pull on the other.

I have a bowl on my work bench for stuff like that. Throw extra parts in there and go fishing when you're wanting. NEVER throw a part away. As soon as you do, you'll need it within a week.
