Hi

Separating 915 from Engine
Hello All.
![]() I've got my 3.2 out and I'm trying to separate the trans from the engine and it's not budging. I've got it split just a little bit but not much. ![]() I had this same trouble last time (100k ago) but I don't seem to remember it being this much trouble. Do you guys have any tricks I need to know about ? ![]() Frustrated. ![]()

This thread 1980 3.0 - Seperating Trans from Eng probs I believe explains the trick you are looking for. It worked for me.

Hi

Ok, I got it.
I forgot to take the arm off the bottom. Once I did that all was good. Thanks Pelicans !

Yes. I'm in the process of replacing the clutch and performing general maintenance. That includes removing and lubing the clutch release shaft, and replacing the seals. The release fork is connected to the TO bearing. Remove the positioning lever and the tranny should slide out with ease.
