Porsche Classic Radio Navigation System

Does anyone in the US have this old school looking radio:
Classic News - Classic News & Events | Porsche

Apparently, it is being sold, but not for the US. I think it can be bought in the US, but I'm not sure what maps you get with it.

I have an old cassette Kenwood, and would like to update my 911SC radio, but looking at all the newer models - they just look too blingy for my tastes. I like this more subdued appearance of the Classic Radio.

If anyone in the US has one, can you please post a pic in your car and where you bought it? Oh yeah, and does it have US maps?

Sorry not of much help here just a random comment worth about .02

Why? My cell phone has a better screen - with any map of any part of the world and oh yeah its a phone...wtf...a 3.5 inch nav window - surely they jest? I mean for real? a 3.5 nav window down at your knees...?

Never really understood a "radio" in a 911...really really will never understand nav in a 911.

If you want music hit the loud pedal on the floor - if you need to know how to navigate around Paris in your 911 - pick up your cell phone.

Back to why....sorry had to ask.

No worries. To each his own I suppose. I happen to like listening to the cacophony of noise that is my 911 and occasionally like to listen to some old school tunes with it as well. To be honest, if they offered that radio without the nav system, it would make me happier as it would be cheaper.

As I said, I'd like to update my old cassette Kenwood radio, but it just looks like all the newer players have bright, dancing, multi-colored LEDs. Someone had posted about using window tint on the faceplate of their radio to cut down on the brightness of the lights.

I actually like the simple look of that radio, but I did read that installation requires some kind of cut in the dash, and that would be a deal-killer for me.

I guess no one in the US has one of these.
