depends on whatt you mean by expect

hp is a quantity which is calculated from a measured quantity, torque

the calculation is
HP = (rpm x torque)/5250

here is a result based on a totally imaginary engine w/ 200 lb-ft of toque at every rpm from 3200 to 7200, the hp curve will constantly rise, now this never happens so any variation in torque will cause a consequent variation in hp

That graph was posted by mistake, it shows the hp curve of a modified engine from one data set but the torque curve from a theoretical engine, I corrected the mistake
