Racing & 911 Sayings/slogans

What are your favorite racing/911/porsche slogans?
Here are a few to start...

Remember when RACING was dangerous and SEX was safe?

Short Skidmarks.
Skidmarks in your shorts.
You should have both when racing.

I live with FEAR everyday but sometimes she lets me RACE

WANNA COME IN SECOND? FOLLOW ME!

Happiness is watching the race in your rearview mirror.

Racing, like sex, should consist of more than 10 seconds in a straight line.

Having a Porsche will get you through times when you can't have sex better than sex will get you through times when you can't have a Porsche.
(paraphrased)

My friend Michael told me this one:

There are 3 kinds of track drivers:
Those who have hit the wall.
Those who will hit the wall.
Those who will hit the wall again.

TT, that was excellent. Thanks. This one made me laugh out loud, thoroughly confusing my co-workers:

A couple of my favorites:

"Obviously I've clobbered the wall." -- Graham Hill to hapless track reporter at Indianapolis when asked "What happened?"

In the late 70's there was a quote going around attributed to the guy who owned Bayside Disposal, he used to race 935's in IMSA. Can't remember his name, somebody will....was it Bruce Levin?
He is supposed to have said, regarding racing 911's/935's,
"You can't make a pig into a race car but you can make a mighty fast pig".
He also used to reply when asked why he got into GT racing that he thought GT stood for Garbage Truck and since his business was hauling trash, it fit.
Here's his 935/78 in later trim at Mosport in 81:

TT- I second or third that-great post. I thought I was the only one to quote from the movie Grand Prix ! Do you have the sound track? I get some interesting looks when the parts that integrate music and 60s F1 car sounds eminate from my car.

That picture/slogan ran as a magazine ad back when.

I thought it was way cool. Apparently so did other people because it was made into a poster also.

I did a quick google search on "kills bugs fast porsche" and came up with a bunch of references to find the picture. Give that a shot, some are selling posters.

Those are some great quotes! Here's another saying that I like...it's kind of become a motto of sorts:
"Do you know what 2nd place is? First loser!"

"There are two kinds of Porsche driver, the ones who have spun and the ones who are going too."

This is so quoted it is almost a proverb. I said it to my ex business partner before he took out a jointly owned 911 for the first time for the weekend. He replied that he was in the unique third category of drivers who had never spun and would not spin. Famous last words. Two weeks later he spun at 95 mph in the rain while trying to impress with his driving prowess a young lady he was holidaying with; smashing front, rear and one side of the car, as well as taking out a motorway toll booth. Car, unbeknownst to me, was not fully insured and was off the road for four months. Poetic justice: his wife and his long time girlfriend found out about the young lady as did her fiancee.
