Help

I have been lurking here for over a year. I have a problem and I am unsure where to start. I purchased an 82 911SC last spring after making the mistake of driving it. I was instantly hooked. The car had 140,000 miles on it and needed only minor cosmetic help. Over the summer I put over 5000 miles on it and it ran wonderfully. Changed the oil, fuel filter, fan belt. Car had new plugs and points, dist. cap when I bought it. When I got it out of storage this spring it started right up, idled well. I put stable in it before storage. On acceleration in stumbles like it is not getting enough fuel. At any constant steady speed it runs great. Should I look at the FI or electrical first. Just seems odd that it ran well before storage. I have never stored a car over the winter before. Thanks, Tom

Drain the old gas and put fresh fuel in it with some techron additive to clean things up.

Yes. You have fuel that has sat too long in the tank. Use lots of fuel conditioner/injector cleaner and run out the old fuel or drain the tank and refill with fresh. Still use injector cleaner to clean the fuel system.

Thank You, I did not think the fuel would go bad that fast. The car is in for some paint touch up. I will try your suggestions as soon as I get the car back. Thanks, Tom
