Need input re-removing CAT
Hi... I have a '86 Carrera Cab. and I would like a bit throatier of a sound- Not loud and not for performance. Will removing the CAT do it? - What happens to the DME reading once the the O2 sensor is removed?
All and any suggestions will be appreciated - Thanks

You should consider a cat bypass pipe and a sport muffler ALONG with a Steve Wong upgraded chip for the DME. You will see an increase in power and get a great exhaust note.
If you are simply looking for a new exhaust tone, then change your muffler instead of the cat. Do you need to pass emissions for your license renewal in your area? If so, removing it may be illegal.

+1 Cat ByPass with O2 Bung and put a Cone K&N, if you don't mind cutting the OEM air box cover, doing these two things will make her a bit louder and throatier as you say.
