If you believe Chuck Mooreland of Elephant Racing, the rubber bushings should not slip, and all movement should be within the rubber itself. He claims his bushings fit tighter, and in addition, he glues them in place. Between the tight fit and the adhesive, his bushings should not slip. The other bushings may fit slightly more loosely, and when not glued, they may be more likely to slip. Slippage of the rubber bushings leads to wear and noise.
Good luck, Dave

I replaced mine with the Elephant stock bushings, and used the instant glue they included. I apparently didn't do it correctly and it didn't adhere even through the installation - while reindexing the bars, the glue let go. I did it again with better cleaning and prep - this held for a few miles, then I started hearing the squeak/crunch again over large bumps (like speed bumps).
I took it apart while doing a corner balance, and really prepped it carefully, used a ton of instant glue, and it held for a few months. Now, however, I'm hearing the noise over large bumps again, especially in cold weather. Quote:

The glue was supposed to be JB Weld, which I did. Must continue to hit grease fittings every oil change with a thin grease. Occ sqeak when cold on a speed bumpl

I installed bushings without glue and they squeaked like a manic mouse. Replaced them very quickly with Elephant poly bronze bushes - love them.

It was 3M Scotch Weld Epoxy DP-100 Plus. I could only find it at McMaster Carr. Supposed to work on steel and rubber. I don't think it held when temps really dropped and the Neatrix bushings stiffened up.
