Window trim question
I removed the front and rear window trim to replace the "blacked out trim" for the chrome/anodized look. I started on the back window and the process went well, even with an old rubber seal. I then removed the front trim sprayed w/ silcone and attempted to fit the new pices, but it woulnd not slip in the rubber seal which is 2 yrs old. What can I do better to make the trim catch and hold.

I like to use liquid hand soap. It is super slick, evaporates and doesn't damage the rubber. Put some on the seal in the area the trim inserts.

chrome trim
Nick,
Thanks of the tip with the soap. Currenly away -- once I return, I'll try it. Vr, Scott

Dish detergent and a little water worked for me.

If you're talking about the windshield and rear window trim, the glass has to be out to put it in correctly.

+1. I assumed the rubber and glass were out on the front windshield.

I am sorry but using soap and water keeps the assembly slippery for several days and can let the trim "pop" out.
I use silicone spray which disappears quickly but not to quickly to let you finish the task. Lorne M.
