Porsche at one time during testing did put the V8 in one of the 956s or 962s for testing. I have seen a few photos of that configuration in some of the books, but not easily found on the Internet. I'll post it if I come across it again. -Wayne

I just have to say, you guys are doing some amazing stuff. Does anyone have any good sources for educating oneself on monocoque design? I would love to see plans on a 962 just for the sheer reading. I guess that's just the Welding Teacher in me talking though. Thank you all for sharing your builds.. BTW, you earned my first post here. | ||

That is not the issue. The issue is that only a very small group of people can answer your inquiry. Maybe they have not read your post or maybe they don't want to respond. Either way, a snide comment probably isn't going to get you an answer faster....

I wasn't trying to post a snide comment. If I were I would have replied to my own comment welcoming me to the board after a week. Have a nice day...

Old Tin Rods: Rather than being a keyboard commando, you're actually doing something constructive to preserve dwindling skill sets and working to enhancing the technical abilities of the next generation. I thought your response to "winders" was temperate and not reactive. I, as a retired architect, say good on you! If I had the drawings for a monocoque, you can bet I'd send them to you. There are several racing teams located in Indiana that deal with CF monocoques that might be willing to assist. Just a thought.
