Alex, ne coulons pas le bateau!

I started another thread for the work I am doing on suspensions/brakes, then I'll come back to this thread and update.

Flywheel out (I used a spring plate as the "special" tool to lock the flywheel while removing the nine 12 point bolts )

I took my flywheel to the local machine shop and the guy just freaked out once he recognized the Porsche part and said he could not do it.

Anyone knows of a local shop that would do this?

As part of my vert slowly moving project I am replacing the clutch cable, following this tech article Pelican Technical Article: Clutch Cable Replacement - 911 (1965-86) - 930 Turbo (1975-86).
I have released the cable at the clevis and now trying to pull from the engine side.
The cable seems to resist my pulling and tugging and I am wondering if I just need to use more force or if I am missing a retaining clip...
This is where I am at (pic from the tech article).

Do I just grab the cable with pliers and pull harder? I prefer to ask the stupid question and not break something at the firewall. Thanks!
