Had to fix my headlight seals and decided to go for black surrounds/bezels for a while. Gives the car a bit more of an “outlaw” look + can always paint them if I change my mind.

Now / previously:

installed a one-touch turn signal relay today. Very useful in my opinion and super easy install...

This week...

Acquired some Larry Chen prints of Gemini at Luft 9...

Swapped wheels between my '87s (Gemini & Apollo). Love white on white from an embracing the '80s perspective. Don't love the RSR finish on Gemini Blue G Body. Apart ftom white, I don't know that RSR finish wheels work as well on light colors. I'm planning to have a set of Fuchs Evos color matched Gemini Blue.

Drove white '87 to Encinitas Cruise Night on Thursday. Had tacos al pastore (The Taco Stand) with a local Porsche buddy.

Yesterday was a GOOD day. Drove three and worked on two.

Drove Apollo to Rancho Santa Fe Cars & Coffee for Breakfast Club and to hang with the M491 bros...

Then drove red '86 Targa to my aunt & uncle's (two post lift) where Stan & I (same haircuts) replaced brake lines (originals, from Jan 1986, were crunchy), flushed & filled with fresh ATE Typ 200 fluid...

Drove Gemini home from my aunt & uncle's and worked on Vents (my '89 project), pulling brake calipers for dispatch to PMB and did some further suspension teardown....

There was some other goodness that happened this past week, but I've hit the picture limit.

Link probably does not help much. I am from Germany and it is a German company selling that little box. So the link is just to give you an impression https://www.pekatronic.de/de/Komfortblinker-Blinkrelais-92.html

I have LEDs for the rear and brake lights, I don't see the need for LEDs for signal lights so I don't have them and as such can't say.

Aluminum door lock knobs by Rennline.
New gray Porsche keychain to match my car’s black/gray motif.
New 917 style key. Will get it cut after the next project: rekeying the locks so doors, glove box and ignition all match the same key.

I need to check this thread out more often, great pics. I waxed the ol girl today. I was a big Zaino advocate for years. Well actually, it just lasted a heck of a long time as a little goes a long way. I think I had the same bottle for 6 years or more. Ran out last year, switched to Jescar ultra lock plus. I know there are tons of products out there so I can't compare. You need no activator like Zaino needed. This stuff I think goes on easier, thicker for sure, easy to remove. It's outstanding.

Finally got around to giving this hotrod the credit it deserves with a Carbone decklid displacement badge. No longer a sleeper under the blanket.

Got the old Blaupunkt working. Needed to bypass the amp, it's no good it seems. We'll see how it sounds with modern, low to mid range quality speakers. Gonna give it a good cleaning inside, hopefully some of the knob induced crackling goes away.

been doing a lot fixing up my dads old 911 that he recently handed over to me. keeping with the thread title, this is what I did today. got the front end done and the rears pulled apart. need new calipers also on the rear (all 4 corners were in some state of being seized).

day before I got a new Blaupunkt wired in, Hella H4 conversion done and installed LED gauge bulbs

I assume everyone here is a Deoxit5 believer, but just in case...

^^ I used something by CRC and it kind of messed up some of the lettering. Not very happy about it.

Just stripped and resprayed my front bumper. It had some issues. It's not perfect but it actually looks pretty good. I had bought Spectral Porsche 700 Black to paint my rear valance to go along with my new muffler. Had quite a bit left over. Primer, paint, clear coat. 1500 wet, 2000 wet. Maguires 205 and 105. Not bad.

Had four key codes identified via photographs and five keys cut from those codes via www.keys4classics.com

I'm very pleased with service levels and turnaround time (days, even shipped from Australia). I found them via a recommendation here on Pelican. No affiliation apart from being a happy customer. I would (will) use them again.

Porsche Carlsbad wanted ~$150 to have the factory cut a key via VIN, they would not provide the code and it was going to take weeks. Porsche San Diego wanted $300+ for same. Keys4Classics was considerably less expensive (and offered a volume discount).
