Took her out one last time before hibernating. She did not go far...

Crazy weather; -7F Thursday morning 41F three days late.

Yes, the frunk is unlatched.

Changed the oil and installed a Fumoto drain valve on the oil tank. It is a nice ball valve with a lever that locks positively. There is a nipple where you can attach a drain hose if you like. It is also easy to open the valve gradually.

Msterling: did you just use the blue rubber washer that came with the drain valve or added any other washers?

I just used the supplied washer. I will keep an eye on it but it seemed OK after a drive of more than an hour. I think the common application for this valve is oil drain on diesel engines.

Rebuilt some Carrera front calipers and SC rears. Waiting on a few more parts, spare time, and some motivation to install all the new suspension and brake parts. Staying with a street friendly set up, a bit stiffer than stock but not crazy and new rubber bushings.

Blue plastic washer? No way I’d run that without it being safety wired. And if it fit it’d have a aluminum washer.

Italian tune up on a nice two lane back road hitting the rev limiter a tad....I have one of those Fumoto's and it makes oil changes no drama events...

Picked it up from the dealer after getting the factory alarm working again. Added some brake fluid due to a flickering brake warning light. It was a bit low.

I made significant progress in the '81 project...

The Beginning of another project - 911 SC NB RS

Replaced all fuel lines with new rubber (had those redone at a local shop since these can't be purchased new from Porsche)
Installed engine, transmission, headers, exhaust.
Modified rear bumper for the muffler tips
Replaced oil in transmission
Separated fuel lines from oil fender mounted cooler in preparation for front-center cooler setup
Cleaned one of the oil lines
Ordered missing parts to finish the clutch and oil tank install
Ordered billet sump plate cover (I know, but it looks amazing, lol)

Is that teflon tape on your fuel lines?

I don't think that is safe

bought a 85 944 for the sport seats, the car was trashed, blown motor, but the seats were a good candidate to re-upholster. Bought the car removed the seats then sold the car all in one day. Never took it off the trailer. Win Win

the car looks much better in the pic, doors don't open ,hatch broke, blown motor, interior trashed, 3 different wheels, no brakes..
