turbo trailing arm bearing replacement

Can the rear wheel bearings be replaced on a 82 rear - turbo trailing arm without pulling the arm? I have done a standard bearing replacement before but a budy of mine is looking into doing this on his turbo body N/A car. Sounds like there may be two bearings pressed into the arm ?

Forgive me, but the links above are not for a turbo trailing arm because the turbo arms use bearings much like the front wheel hub bearings.

Still, the tools shown in the links above (or something similar) could work to remove the outer bearing races that are pressed into the turbo arms. Also, there is a crush spacer use to pre-load the bearings once installed that will need to be replaced as well.

Thanks I was looking at the Pelican parts catalog and did see the inner and outer bearings. I suspect they may not need as much installation /removal force and like you mentioned I did also see the inner sleeve. A set of seals would be required as well. Appreciate the help

This is a job that I'd suggest would be better done by a competent shop. It's not easy.

Do not be fooled! I've done both and the turbo bearings are so difficult that a shop will charge you upwards of $3000. I can remove the trailing arms and replace the bearings in both standard arms and be back on the road in about 6 hours. The turbo takes twice as long with four times the aggrevation. I will admit that I am not a professional shop, but I am a very capable diyer. The turbo is far easier with the arms off the car and on a press.

Oh, sorry! I forgot the turbo uses dual bearings on the rear.
