Christian,
Sounds good but hard to see....make your photographer run alongside next time..... |
My dad at 64 is not the best at handling an iPhone.... ;)
But he knows everything about Porsche and is great working with on my or his car... |
Sounds healthy....

After painting the exhaust and doing and adjusting the ride hight from the first test drive, it was time for a second... I am looking for a chrome grill, but my dad had a black one on shelf, and it does actually look pretty good :)

Christian, nice setting for your beautiful car. Congrats.

Nice pictures- looks like an old calendar or press photo from Porsche with that field of flowers.

What a beautiful car this has become!!!

Thanks, guys :D
Still a lot to do. But know the car is running and able to drive. I can't wait to get an alignment, corner weighing and adjustment of the MFI... |
Awesome result! Hyggeligt or what they tend to say in Denmark!!

Putting on a 73 RS-style door side and making it look good takes a lot of time and work! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1401679654.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1401679658.jpg |

Time for at little update.
I used the fall to testdrive the car. I got the suspension dialed in and corner balanced. The car drives better than ever now. It is very neutral and almost impossible to get the tail to break loose in dry weather :) Since I took so much weight of the front end, the car is very light in the steering once it reaches 100 miles an hour though... The engine was a bit of a pain to get to run properly as it showed and in the proces of finding out why, we discovered that the pressure plate was loose, so a new one and a new clutch went in... Finaly it showed that I needed to get my MFI pump rebuild. And that was a good choice as the pump was never calibrated for a 3 liter engine and generally needed a rebuild. I had it made exactly for my engines specs, and now it pulls like a train! Here are some pictures from this spring: Just picked the car up from the mechanic: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1430041080.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1430041106.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1430041114.jpg Happy owner on the way home http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1430041296.jpg A quick stop for some pictues http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1430041418.jpg And back in the garage http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1430041414.jpg |

Good Project
Which type of tyres have you? And the size please? |
The wheels are genuine Fuchs 8x15 and 9x15
In front I run Bridgestone Potenza RE55 (I think) 225/50-15 In the rear I run Toyo R888 235/50-15 - but they are much wider than 235mm /Christian |
Hi Christian!
First of all, i like your car and the way you built and documented it! I'm also from Europe and planning an ST conversion, so i've got a few questions: Where have you bought the lightweight parts? How was quality and fitment? What are the dimensions of the rims? Thanks in advance! Florian |
Hello Florian
Tank you! I bought the front and rear bumper from this guy on eBay: I got the front hood and the fenders from a guy in Sweden (no website) and I think he is out of business now. I do believe the guy on eBay have them also. My rear fenders are steel. I drive original Fuchs 8x15 and 9x15. Finding tyres can be hard and expensive! Michelin TB5 and Pirelli Corsa Classic are probably the right thing but they are very, very expensive. As I do a lot of track days i opted for Bridgestone Potenza RE55 in the front in 225/50-15 and Toyo R888 in the rear in 235/50-15. When measurering the Toyos the are actually more like 255-260! /Christian Quote:

To the OP, do you have the source for this filler neck. Where to get it? SmileWavy
