The car looks great :-)
I am also planning a ST project, where did you get the flares from and is the rear bumper ST or RSR?

The car looket really nice in 2008 when I bought it, but over the four years of driving it, some signs of problems showed up:

Actually Alabama is my technology secret. Twice the productivity at half the price. A lot of talent, common sense, problem solving capability, without the Silicon Valley attitude :-)
just watch out for the brown recluse!

While waiting on the body work, I collected a new exhaust system. The old one was from DANSK and a bit too small, so I took it off, cleaned it and sold it:

Time to focus on the new system. I got a pair of headers from EBS, that I painted black with heat resistant paint:
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Looks nice on the engine! And the fit was perfect. I am runing Carrera 3.2 heads on my 3.0 Carerra engine and the ports and the header was a perfect match!

The new exhaust is from DANSK in ST-style. It was grey when I got it, but I wanted it to be black...
![]() ![]() ![]() I found some perfect clamps for the pipes that I also painted black: ![]() ![]() I am a little concerned about how much noise this system makes?! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

More work on the front of the car.
The ugly ducklings where the battery cases had been and the previous owner had made a mess are gone and nice new (original thickness) plate is fitted instead: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The front pad cleaned up nicely and we decided not to replace it: ![]() Test fitting the closing plate: ![]() ![]() ![]()

Hey Christian, great work! I want to point out though that the sides of front bulk head should be on the inside of the lateral supports instead of wrapped around the outside of those like you show. It might affect the fit of the fenders and hood as you would have made the front of the car narrower than it should be.

Great looking build! I just noticed that you appear to have no rain gutters! That was some effort by the previous owner.

![]() That is true. The previous owner took them off in the attempt to make a Yellow Bird. And I hate it! Either I am having them reaplied in some way or I am having the entire roof replaced... Gotte have rain gutters for my car. /Christian

Hey Christian, thanks! I'm still working through some final details before a shake down test, but at least I'm in good shape right at the beginning of the season.
![]() So, you think you'll reapply the rain gutters. Wow, that seems daunting. Are you considering a lightweight roof insert and full cage?

![]() My body work guy is considering either to remanufacture rain gutters and weld them on the existing roof, or to replace the whole roof with one that has rain gutters. I want the original look back! I will go for a full cage at some point ![]()
