What are the "must have" ref: books for SC's besides 101 projects??
Does Bentley cover generally everything, CIS trouble'n ? Interested in pre-maintenance, and/or replacing trouble spot parts etc. thanks Sean

With 101, Bentley, and Pelican... you are covered.

Definitely get the Bentley manual. Keep in mind that there are some errors in the manual for the SC.

I prefer the factory manuals, although they are expensive. I don't find the Bentley useful, as there are too many errors. The problem with a lot of the books, and even the technical articles and forum posts on Pelican is that a great percentage of the info becomes generic. Lots of things changed over the years and often the examples presented will differ in detail from your projects.

One that got me was on reassembly of the transmission. It completely leaves out the installation of the main shift rod when installing the trans case over the gearsets. I thought it went in after the trans cases was in place, but it is clearly not the case. I eventually figured it out, but would have been nice to know at the time.

Adrian Streathers SC Companion is a good read. Not so much as a technical manual for working on your SC, but general information and evolution.
