Odd size Porsche crest-where was this used?

I have several of these sitting around for years and I've never been able to find out where they were used. center caps--steering wheel horn button? They are about 2 3/8 in. tall.

Dont think its center caps, the the caps I have ever seen were painted in some fashion although maybe this was some kind of special thing.

I know that some Porsche's had crests on the interior door handles but the ones I have seen were smaller than this.

Maybe its an aftermarket hood emblem, however the posts are in the wrong location for that.

If I had to guess I would say its the center cap for a 930 steering wheel. I have never taken one of so I dont know who they mount but Im sure one of the 930 guys here can chime in on that.

Looks like the center cap crests on my Fuch's. Especially with the 2 posts.

My '75 came with one about that size on the horn button. 3- spoke small diameter, thick rim wheel.

I have the large grip wheel and it has the crest. I'm actually worried that I won't be able to find a replacement for it at some point. It was refurbished with the wheel, but you can never have too many of the rare bits.
