I've found 2 cars. Asking prices are near NADA classic retail. Hagertys gives condition 3 cars a much higher value. When determining value, should I think condition 4 for all cars that are driveable, look good, and have no serious problems? I think of a 4 as akin to my 01 Buick. Gets me to work/no frills. Is the market better for one than the other?

Maybe it's just me, but I really don't understand your question. I just don't get why you mention Hagerty's condition rating and how that fits in your question. Are the sellers of these cars basing their prices on that scale? Is one a 3 and another a 4? Are you just asking which of the two models is more valuable, all things being equal? I'd like to offer an opinion but I just don't know what you want, sorry.

I wish I could give you a valuable sugestion on how you can flip those cars , but seems you are in wrong sand box.
So there you go : negotiate asking price and hope you come on top selling.

the deciding factor.

I'll give you an answer, I believe, following trends, it appears the earlier cars have higher values, if the LWB (72) car was a E or especially S model, it could trump the SWB value, but then again, a 67 S versus a 72S, the 67 wins, just like if it was a 67 standard model versus a 72T

but not by much, condition, color, ownership history, etc all can make the 72 more valuable
