Thanks Shaun. About HP, probably 375 at the rear wheels at .6 bar. Almost unmanageable at 1 bar! The donor crashed car could spin the rear wheels in third and hit redline @ 165 mph on the back straight at Mosport, that is if i came out of corner 5b properly, grit my teeth and held my tung just so.

A few cosmetic updates.
F*rting around gluing the RS rubber gaskets as there are no guide channels on the fiberglass rear bumper/valance. Finally took the direct route-just glue it:





The front end mechanics all refurbished as refinished, ready for install over the holidays:



Unfortunately a green Christmas throughout most of Canada. Well, we will still have our traditional road hockey with the family-grandkids will undoubtedly show up us oldies.

Spare a thought for us Aussies. Christmas is normally yellow (dead dry grass) and 40 degrees C.

^^^In Muskoka. L/P was a gift from a fellow Pelican from whom I bought the tub. Tub was originally from Colorado. Kinda nostalgic because of the RS reference and year.

Thanks quattrorunner. Helps using a one piece bumper/valance. It's also designed to be removed in just a few minutes- just hoping it will be a while.

Happy New Year Everybody.

Came across these leftovers from the rear and front suspensions. Don't really know where they go, so please help me out if you can.

First Leftover
Fabric cable hanger?? Suspect it belongs somewhere in the rear underside. For Clutch cable??



Second Leftover
Aluminum spacers with 10mm ID which are slightly larger and thicker than the spacers for the front A-arm hangers. I suspect that they go between the front suspension aluminum cross member and the steering rack. Part of the bump steer?? Any ideas?

Re that little strap, my only frame of reference is an 82 SC, but it uses something similar to support the e-brake cables on each side, left and right.
There are many fantastic project cars on PP, but yours in right at the top for good taste and the highest level of execution. Happy New Year. John in CT

E-brake and heater cable guide tubes... look for tab under rear seat pan.. 8mm nut & bolt thru the loops.

Johan it looks like the spacers to a bump steer. If correct they go under the steering rack on the cross member.

Refurbished my 930 brakes (even managed to get rid of most of the gravel rash from the crash), got new '80 rotors for my '80 front hats, and installed them including all the brake lines.





The 930 brakes may not be the latest and greatest but they sure work well on the track and I love the look.
