Post this in the Rebuilding forum and you will get a lot more info:

Do you have Wayne's Book on engine rebuilding? That's a good start.

Buy Wayne's engine rebuilding book. It has a great list of tools in it along with most of the special instructions and specs you will need.

I have lots of tools I can loan you. Since you don't have 3 million posts, you can give me a deposit and then I will return.

Indicators for cam timing and crank play
Tools for setting valves
Camshaft (old style) crows foot and special socket. Don't know when they switched over.
Special off set tool for intermediate shaft (I think that is what it is for)

They are sitting in my tool box and they are idle. Don't mind helping a bro.

Advise.

If you're going to replace the lower studs or if any are broken the cylinders will most likely have to come off.
