3.2 Alternator harness attach
Hi all,
3.2...putting the alternator harness back on I discovered I didn't have the screws that fastened these cables to the shroud. Don't know what happened on disassembly....thought I'd put everything back in that bag... Worried that sheet metal screws will vibrate off...thinking of going with Omega clips...thoughts? ...or maybe there were Omega clips there when I took it off and they disintegrated when I removed the harness? Can't recall and pics got lost.... Thanks in advance John

there are no screws holding the harness to the shroud. At best, they are attached via a plastic ring that rings around the harness and small foot that snaps into the hole. they don't work that well.
The metal loops you show are attached around the cable harness and then fastened to the intake runners with a M6 bolt/washer.

Plastic push in omega shaped clips are what you want.

Thanks, I didn't take pictures as I was taking this apart...that helps alot. timmy2, I've got the clips on order...should be here Monday. I'll probably attach the cables with a combination of both. Last details before it all goes back in! j
