Idle on 70T has a mind of it's own...Help

Greetings Pelicans

My T's idle with stock Zeniths is driving me NUCKING FUTS!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll get it warmed up and do the textbook settings as far as ignition and carbs and it'll be idling at around 800 rpm.......I'll blip the throttle and it will come back to 800 and all is good. Then I'll go out and drive it and occasionally it will stay at 2000 or climb to 2000 and stay there. I have to drag the clutch sometimes to get it to come back to 800

The linkage seems fine and isn't sticking.................what gives?

Dirty Marty

Something is binding. Years ago running webers I had the same problem. Turned out to be a sticking throttle butterfly. An ever so slight adjustment using the attaching screws made it all good. Then I put on PMO carbs and all is smooth, smooth, smooth. Love em.
