Embarrassing question - how do engine lid rubber buffers attach?.
In my defense I fitted a reproduction ducktail spoiler, but not clear how they are located. Is there supposed to be a stub they get pressed onto?
Thanks

They thread on, the lid should have a hole that is beveled out to receive the threaded rubber stubs.

Thanks Shane. Looks like I need to open up those mounting points.

It's ok, you don't need to be embarrassed when asking how to attach a rubber buffer... We've all been there

To put on the rubber, practice on a banana first.

...or, if you don't want to drill holes your new lid, a little JB Weld (quickset variety) or 3M weatherstrip adhesive adhesive will work - just trim the bumper to length with a razor.

That is the issue I am trying to finger out, I'll need to compare my lid to a stock one and figure something out I guess.
