True. Liability is a major issue, that is, until Shakespeare’s ambitions regarding what should be done with Lawyers is realized... I can just see it now. Billion dollar, class action lawsuits from irate Porsche owners who were tanned against their will...

My hard top is finished and ready to go .I have not yet written the sales info or done any sales type pictures yet other than some quick shots in the driveway. I was'nt going to make this introduction untill i had the sales info ready for the pp catalog. As a regular supplier to PP i could'nt use this forum to sell my stuff direct to the public. I am working on all the info this weekend and should it ready for the PP catalog by monday. Here is a teaser picture.

The top i have produced is a solid fiberglass- black gel coat piece that is permently attached to your targa frame, replacing the soft top. The gelcoat finish is ready for paint or covering with oem type vinyl and the inside is ready for headliner. The top uses all your hardware{latches, rubber} and attaches to the frame using almost all exisiting screw holes .The retail price has been set at $500.00 + s&h and should be in the PP catalog soon. I have 8 tops ready to ship and more ordered.

Bell thanks , i have kicked around the idea of cutting out a sunroof sized hole and bonding in a piece of clear lexan. I have done the layout and figgered how it will go but have'nt gone any further.I am thinking , cut the hole with a template then with the same template using a router cut a rabbit in the edge of the lexan to fit the hole leaving a ledge to overlay on the inside for bonding. Don't know how expensive it w/b for the lexan and the labor.

in reviewing the use of plexiglas and lexan to replace curved corner windows in a Spartan mobile home, similar to an airstream, the problem with thicker materials is the possibility if crazing (those small steel wool looking lines of stress)on the bent surface, cupping can be somewhat controlled with jigs, heat, and slow bending.
