Jon is quite correct. What I think he does not emphasize enough is that while adjustments can be made to correct for a bad strut during an alignment to allow a car to drive forward, as soon as the car has to turn the geometry can fail unpredictably and rapidly deteriorate. This is not something wanted in a Porsche.
