tow hooks use ????
1984 911 were do I look to find out how to use the tow hooks I know the rear on but the ft ???? the long hook in the tool kit with a 'eye' on one end and a 'knob hook' on the other thanks in advance

Post a pic of your front end underneath, it should be there unless PO removed it or grounded it off.

The tow hook in tool kit is only for the rear.
The rear also has holes way up underneath through the unibody for tie down on long haul trips. Follow the small support tube for lower outer bumper filler upwards, you will see the oval shaped hole. On the front of the car you use the welded tow eyes on the torsion bar end covers. These are often scraped up or bent out of shape from contact with steep driveways, curbs, and the like. You can also use a rag for padding and hook the a arm for trailering. I prefer grabbing a wheel with a strap or using the tire bonnet with E-track tie downs Cooper |
