3.6L Conversion Questions - Wiring a 1996 Vram into a 1972

A few questions with some background. I am installed a 1996 v-ram motor (driveblock removed already) into my '72 and I have run into a snag as I look at the wiring. The harness supplied with the engine is missing the large and small 14-pin plugs that are in the passenger compartment. I also noticed that this harness has one wire (green w/ brown stripe) that has been cut (intentionally or not?).

I have a conversion kit (Timmins) that has the receiving end of the 14-pin plugs, but want the install to be clean.

Pictures are below.

Questions:

1) Anyone know where to source just the large and small 14-pin harnesses? And what is the correct pinout?

2) For the cut wire, was the intentional? The motor was in another earlier previously.

3) I dissassembled the fuse panel from the engine bay to clean and paint it. I have already removed the CDI (which I don't think I need with the '96 motor). The relay, I believe, runs the rear defroster, so that stays. What else don't I need?

Your questions and he pictures relating to them aren't very clear...
Are you looking for the car body main harness female 14 pin connector housing and cover? (picture shows 9694/1 on it)
99965243040 and 99965243640 are the part numbers for the plastic pieces.
Pin out on the main body harness female connector:
1-large yellow
2- plain green
3-Green/Black
4- green red
5&6 - not used
7-Grey/white
8- Purple/black
9-Brown
10- Black
11-White/Black
12- Blue
13- Red
14- not used

Hope that is what you needed.
No idea for the cut green/brown wire (on the engine harness?)

Yes, the car body plastic harness pieces. Thanks. What I am showing are the pieces on the conversion harness from Steve Timmins. The wiring harness that came with my motor was missing the male harness pieces.

I'll have to call Timmins for helps on the conversion harness as there are two 14-pin plugs.

I completed my conversion back in the early 90's well before Timmins was around.

What I did was purchase the electrical diagrams for the year of the donor motor and integrate those with my existing 72 harness through the 14 pin connector. (I wanted to retain the original wire harness in case I ever desired to restore the car) It has run fine for many years. I think all of the wire color codes have remained consistent throughout the 911's production so it's not too difficult.

You use to be able to buy most of the individual connectors from the PCNA so I don't think you need the whole harness. Just some patience and a little dangerous knowledge.

Just something to think about
there is a big difference in doing an OBD1 t/p and doing an OBD2 t/p
all 964 and '95 US 993 and all RoW n/a 993 are OBD1 w/ 55 pin harnesse/DME, so all n/a US 3.6 through MY95 and all n/a RoW 3.6 thru MY98 use the simpler OBD1 system

all US n/a 993 3.6 from MY96 thru MY98 use the much more complicated and demanding 88pi OBD2 harness/DME

This may be why there are few responses here, I've done several OBD1 t/p's but have avoided the OBD2 like the plague

Why not contact Dr Timmins for help since you bought the kit from him, I have found him to be very generous w/ his time and advice to his customers
