bumper and glassfiber
Bumper time.
My father has molds for the RSR bumpers so we made one, and had to adjust it a little to make it fit, both front and back. http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l2...S/DSCN2397.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l2...S/DSCN2415.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l2...S/DSCN2414.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l2...S/DSCN2462.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l2...S/DSCN2461.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l2...S/DSCN2472.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l2...S/DSCN2470.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l2...S/DSCN2464.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l2...S/DSCN2471.jpg |

getting ready for paint
After fitting the bumpers we got the car ready for paint
http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l2...S/DSCN2484.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l2...S/DSCN2485.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l2...S/DSCN2486.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l2...S/DSCN2487.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l2...DSCN2494-1.jpg |
So after a colour change we got started deleting the electrics from the cruise control , air con amongst other things and sort out the original electric gremlins that came with the car.
After seeing how much wiring is used to control the cruise and AC and how much that wiring weighs after itīs been pulled, I must say it was a bit of a surprise. Iīll try to see if I can find a photo, until then ...here is a picture of the start. http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l2...S/DSCN2572.jpg After quite a few hours, things were where they should be. http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l2...S/DSCN2693.jpg |
framing it
Window "shiny" frames are now back on the car and so is the sun roof.

Great project. Sorry for asking, but did the Black rims become shiny simply by removing the paint? Or did you have to send them to a Chrome shop?

dashing it out
Time to sort the dashboard out and backdate it too, those air vents are a dead give away. (nearly as bad as not having shiny bits :) )

wow, looks great. Interesting to see how you modified the front quarters to match the long hood, so often I see them just replaced.

Looks great, can't wait to see finished pics, should be soon at the rate you're going!!
