My Refinished Fan

I got my fan back yesterday from Flying Jay. It looks pretty good. I had already ceramic coated the housing in cast iron gray and Jay bead blasted and clear coated the fan in a matt finish. He also re-plated the hardware. I had previously polished the fan but I could never get it perfect as there are too many dings from 40 years of driving. Won't be much longer before the car is driving again..... | ||

Wow. That looks great. OK, the questions that are on my mind - where, and how much?

The ceramic coating on the fan shroud was done at a local powder coater - it was $70 and they used a product called CeraKote. I also did the valve covers in the same finish. The fan refinishing was done by a guy here on pelican, search flyingjay - it was $135 I'm probably going to replace the strap around the shroud with the stainless version that is sold here on the site by Rennline. The gold plate doesn't seem to match as well as it used to. I will try cleaning it up first.

Great look Vern. I'm kind of a noob, and you've probably discussed this in detail before, but what is the fuel system you have on that beast? Michael

PMO ITBs are gorgeous. But the cost is breathtaking. Hmmm, maybe if I win the lottery... I guess I'd have to buy tickets first.

That looks so good I would definitely delay putting it in a car so I could just stare at it a while.
