Dave... I'm late to the party and Joe will surly load his gun with this comment if you change your mind, so will say it for others who are having color decisions to make. Bring car photo into Photoshop... and you can swap existing Carrera (or whatever) color to any color. Takes a little Photoshop know-how. Makes color selection much easier.

EDIT: Just saw you have swatch. Gona see if I can get my antique MAC running with Photoshop on it. If so, will put swatch color into car and post it shortly.

Halo effect happening. To get rid of that is time consuming. (Color tests like these would come out better with more evenly lit car and large, hi res photo to work with.)

I like some consistency. So I like the light gray, but then you should paint the wheel centers the same color. If the interior is black and with the black wheels, and if you do not want to change the wheels, then, I would vote for black script.

Thanks for the photoshop work, Karl! I had asked my son to do the same. I have a black interior with gray carpets, so I think introducing some gray to the experior is probably OK. Here's a small pick from my son. Light gray and middle gray shown:
Thanks,
Dave

I like the middle gray for your IB car. If this were a longhood, and you could have the lighter gray "trim strip" around the bumpers, I'd say it doesn't matter. But the other details on the IB car are so dark, the light gray stands out in a less than flattering way. IMO.

Welcome Dave. Your son is doing better than I! Orange & grey is a great combo. Think you're making a good choice to go darker than the original "white-grey."

Thanks everyone,
I think I got what I wanted. I peeled off the other light gray graphic. I used fingernails and patience, and with the help of my son it came off in 20 minutes. I cleaned it all up and installed the new middle gray by the wet method. It's still pretty gloomy in Chicagoland, but here's a picture outside.
Have a great holiday.
Thanks,
Dave

Hi again, guys,
My son is a pro at photoshop, so he made matching wheels for my script. See what you think.
Thanks,
Dave

Yes to the wheels that grey color, That realy makes it look complete. Try grey mirrors and bumpers. I love the look you are going for.

Looks great in the first picture. I'd keep the wheels black and the script white!

Thanks Anthony,
It's hard to tell with the photoshopping, but the real script is now medium gray, and the wheels are black. The lighter script looks white in pictures, and kind of gray-white in person. Because lots on people seem to like to match the wheel centers to the script, I showed the wheels in a matching gray just to show that option.
Thanks for all the opinions. I understand that the ultimate decision remains my own, but it does make me feel better to hear the input of others.
Happy Thanksgiving,
Dave

Agree with the gray wheels if you can. But even without, looks great!
