confusing battery/starting issue

Hopefully someone can help me here. Began having starting issues a couple of months ago and it appears my 3 year old Die Hard was having trouble holding a charge. Got new Bosch but still having starting issues. The starter seems weak and now won't start if it sits a while without a jump. I noticed it dropped from about 12.7 to 12.39 over about 24-36 hours. I tested for parasitic drain and I think it's only 6mA but I'm really ignorant about electrical issues. I attached a pic of the test so hopefully you all can tell me if I am doing it correctly. Not sure how the battery could be going down if only this small draw.
I also have seen comments to test at the starter but I don't really know how to do this in detail. I can't seem to find a thread that really spells this out...i'm sure it's easy but I need "testing for Dummies"
Other details
cleaned neg ground at battery as well as strap on tranny
Starter from Zims Dec '11
Alternator from Rennsport Tulsa Nov '10
Test done after disconnecting neg cable and leads connected to battery - post and battery - cable/connector
Getting shade over 14 volts with engine running

OK...follow up question. I seem to find a bunch of threads on power through the "yellow" wire. To test it would I pull the yellow wire off the spade and connect one end of the VM to that and the other to the grould bolt on the tub, then put ignition switch into "start" position and check what voltage I see?
Thanks

No help but 6 mAmps seems really low. My 88 draws about 80 but I think I have a low-jack that is really well hidden. Does anything show up when you use the 10 Amp input? I've never seen a meter that you could measure current with the same configuration you measure voltage.

Those voltage readings say 1/3 of the battery capacity went away. It had to go somewhere.
