not so smooth

hi -- first time I've posted to this site. I have a 78 sc. Recently I've noticed as I'm driving every once in a while without any pattern, it feels as if the car looses power for a split second.

any ideas?

That's going to be a tough one to pin point until it becomes more of a problem.

You might want to tell us what, if any, recent repairs have been done to the ignition and fuel systems.

Whether the miss occurs when the motor is hot or cold.

Help us out with details and someone on the board will come up with a solution.

Sounds like an ignition short.

Just a hunch, take a look at the points wires coming out of the distributor. Has it been spliced?

I'll second that. Start with new plugs and move on to ignition cables.

I had the same kind of problem a while back with a 78 SC. For me, the problem was a corroded primary wire to the Distributer.
