G50/00 how much power can it handle

I have i g50/00 with a lsd and a billet sideplate for it. Does any one know how much this transmission can handle ? as it has the smaller pinion and ring.

That's about the torque Eddie Bello broke 3rd gear on the dyno IIRC.

Yes, but I don't generally use Eddie in this sort of circumstance because his car runs 9 seconds at a time.

We've put these in v8 powered kit cars for over a decade with good durability on cars used for both street and track. All Ultima GTRs use G50, as does the FF GTM Mulsanne. Seen plenty of 800-1000hp builds on those cars.

Eddie Bello has a newer g50 doesn't he ? Mine is a g50/00 and has a smaller ring and pinion. If that isnt a weak link it should be more than powerful enough. The reason i asked is that i've read somewhere in some old post that g50/0x couldnt handle very much , but people tell me different numbers.

Eddie had a 50/50 with large r/p but he broke the case. They've become so rare and expensive he went back to a g50/03. Same thing as a g50/00 but with 964 Tailcone versus 3.2 mount.

Don't worry about it. The internet is full of false rumours.

Matt Monson

As Mr. Monson stated, they are super tough. Juan Ruiz uses slicks and antilag, and his car does a big wheelie off the line drag racing.
