Best money I've spent on my car save an engine rebuild. You'll forget about the cost the first time your significant other tells you to turn down the a/c in the summer because it's too cold.

We were in Savannah, GA in AUGUST at noon time and my wife asked me to turn the temperature up. That was when I knew for sure I had kick-butt AC in my 30 year old 911.

I've already been amazed by the output of the system. Was 40 degrees Celsius a little over a week ago, and it worked wonders.
Thanks also for the congrats. I wanted to do this to show the "less experienced" such as myself, that anything is possible with Griff's system and that they shouldn't be daunted by the task. It just takes patience and a bit of personal time, and in the end, should be not only pleased by the resulting Kuehl-ness, but that they actually DIY'd it ![]()

Excellent post Skip. I'm about to embark on this project myself. I'm replacing everything except the decklid condenser with a system from Griffiths. The only difference is, my RHD car doesn't have access to the evaporator through the smugglers box. My evaporator is behind the kickboard in the left hand seat where you guys drive from. There are some great tips in your posts. So far I've removed most of the hoses, I think I'll leave parts of hoses that go through bulkheads etc, so hopefully I can tape new hoses to the old ones and just pull through the bulkhead holes.
